Chanchala Patra: Therapy in Central London

Hello and a warm welcome,

I am Chanchala Patra, a senior student at Karuna Institute. I hold a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology and I am currently working towards an MA in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy.

I believe therapy is an opportunity to reconnect to the inherent wellness and health within all of us that is sometimes obscured by our experiences and conditioning. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space to support your journey at a pace that feels right for you. To meet your individual needs, I use an integrative approach drawing upon western and eastern practices, including psychodynamic, humanistic, existential and mindfulness; with a primary focus on connecting the mind and body.

My experience as a Behavioural Analyst supporting children on the Autism spectrum for over 8 years and in the NHS psychological services has taught me how to support my clients in developing skills to communicate their needs and regulate heightened emotions. I am particularly interested and passionate about diversity, life transitions and the opportunity for healing that arises out of difficulty.

I offer low-cost psychotherapy online, and in person, in Oxford Circus and Queen’s park (Central London). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a free initial session. I look forward to hearing from you.
